:: Leaving on a Jet Plane :

"Your brave" and "good luck" were two phrases I heard a lot , but we made it to Colorado safe and sound!!

Traveling with an infant is not as easy as I thought it airport!! Everyone on the plane was helpful too!! We got upgraded to first class for free because the seats were empty, so we had an extra large comfy seat for each of us!! But mostly cuddled on the plane ride. Getting through the airport was a lot harder than the actual plane ride although being able to check the stroller and carseat at the gate was SO helpful, along with Buddy bringing us in. All the people were so nice. The flight attendant took time to take a picture of us! Brogan was so good on his first plane ride!!!

When we got to Colorado, Michelle came to pick us up. Abby also met us there to see the baby!! We visited for a little bit, after mom figured out how to get on the tram to get her baggage (Thanks to some helpful people in the terminal)
Then we left to see the beautiful mountains on the way home!

On Saturday it was 75 and sunny. We went shopping at an outlet mall in Castle Rock, and in Denver on 16th street at an outdoor mall. While we were there we stopped and ate at the Cheese Cake factory! It was really good, and got an easter outfit for Brogan. It was our first outside walk in the stroller and Brogan loved it!!

The next day when we woke up it was time to go home. It also had plummeted from 75 to 25 degrees and was snowing, they got about 7 inches. When we finally got on the plane to take off we ended up sitting on the run way for 2 hours waiting for clearance and then for out plane to get de-iced. When we finally got in the air we were going pretty fast till we found out there was a strong thunderstorm in Whichita, KS where we were making out connecting flight to Chicago. By the time we finally landed... after being hit by lightening and having to circle a million times, it was 6:30 and our other flight was supposed to leave at 5:50 so we thought we missed it. Actually though that plane wasn't even able to land at the airport so we had to wait another 2 hours for it to come and didn't leave Whichita until 9. I thought our troubles were over then we got to the luggage carousel, and nothing came out.... They lost our entire flights luggage SOMEwhere in the airport that they "couldnt get to" We didn't get out of there until 1 in the morning when they found our luggage. We had to wait because the carseat base was inside mine and couldn't leave until they found it.

All in all it was a greattt trip and Brogan took it so well. Although i don't think we'll be doing it again anytime soon.

::Introduction::

Although his life was unplanned Brogan has brought so much joy to ours. We found out we were pregnant May 21st, 2007, and what a shock that was. Looking back on that time now, as i look into his big blue eyes, I don't think we ever could have known what happiness he would bring with his arrival. I worked right up until my water broke at 4:40pm on January 15th. My heart was beating so fast as Buddy met me at my house (after i had to call and pull him out of an interview to let him know it was "TIME", he got the phone call he had wanted! Since I was scheduled to have an induction on the Thursday following and we both really wanted it to happen naturally. We got to the hospital between 6 and 6:30 and i was dilated to 5. After I got the epidural around 8:30 -9 I dilated to 10 within the hour, but was so numb that I could not feel my contractions to push. Poor Brogan was stuck there for another 3 hours with his head just trying to come out! We turned down the epidural, and when I could feel enough to push, it only took 1 hour and our baby boy was delivered into this world by his Daddy and Grandma Wood at 1:51 am on January 16th 2008. Grandma R and Aunt Chelsea and Aunt Brooke were also there to share that special moment and capture it with photographs and video. The rest of the family came in shortly after. What an amazing experience this has been...
