CSU!!!

Brogan's Auntie Morgann took a college visit down to South Carolina's Charleston Southern University this past week. They are one of the schools recruiting her to play soccer! And I think this is going to be the one she chooses. How exciting for her to go on a recruiting visit! She'll be the first in our family to go to college on a sports scholarship! Brogan and her are like best buds, and he wasn't to thrilled about her packing up to leave him....

.....So he climbed into her suitcase to try and go with!!!

Good Luck Morgann!!! We're so excited to see what you accomplish... NOT TO MENTION HAVE SOMEPLACE WARM TO COME VISIT!

The Tree House!

I was bored and tired of sitting at home with Brogan with the same ole toys and no one else around, so I decided to take Brogan to the germ infested Magical Tree House at the mall! Must have been that a bunch of other SAHM's had the same idea that day because it was like chuck-e-cheeses on a Friday night! It was just Packed! This is the 2nd time Brogan has been to the tree house, and he loves it! There are so many other friends there for him, and he likes to "talk" to everyone including the other parents that are sitting around watching their kids.
Brogan loved this skunks PINK nose... He always goes over to it and pushes it like a button
I spy with my little eye.....
Since this photograph Brogan doesn't have to bend over to get up little steps. He now takes them like a big boy, and I think he is starting to think he is bigger than he really is.....

Aint no Mountain HIGH enough....

our little rock climber.... I mentioned this in one of my previous posts but thought I would capture a picture that shows JUST EXACTLY what we are in for.....

Brogan also has quite the interest in music. I have put on quite a few video's of him dancing, and everytime he hears anything that sounds like music, or could resemble music to him, he starts dancing. He loves my brothers guitar too. If he starts playing Brogan will come running just to sit and stare. Nate taught him how to strum the strings, so that if he ever finds it he will know what to do instead of "hitting" it or getting frustrated with it not "playing music" Here is a video of Brogan playing us a song!

He seems to be interested in so many thing! I am so excited to see what kinds of activities his life has in store, and the different things that he will be passionate about and succeed in! It is so much fun watching him grow up and learn about what life has to offer.

Valentines Day Weekend <3

Valentines day weekend Buddy was able to come home again! We were very excited to have him here, one because of his brother Caleb's Conference wrestling meet, and two so that we could go on a date! hahaha (OK so number two was mostly me) So we spent our v-day at EK (my former stomping grounds) for the district finals. I can't believe I let my son wear GRANDVILLE attire there, but I guess it was to support his uncle Caleb so that's ok!

watching Uncle Caleb with Dad and learning all the tricks!
Someday babe! Someday!

CONFERENCE CHAMPION! GREAT JOB CALEB!

After the tournament, Buddy and I took Brogan home and got him ready for bed. My brother Travis had agreed to watch him so that Buddy and I could go for a late dinner. I had really been wanting to go to a hibachi style restaurant with Buddy because he had never been! So we went to KOBE- its a Japanese steak house/hibachi restaurant/sushi bar right across from Rivertown mall. For anyone that hasn't been to one- The chef cooks in front of you while putting on a show by throwing shrimp into your mouths, and lighting food on fire. Its SO much fun and the food is AWESOME. We put in our names and then went to the mall to stroll around for a little bit as there was a couple hour wait (they weren't taking reservations for Saturday so we just had to deal with it). It was so much fun! The food was great, and BUDDY LOVED IT! We had some pretty nice people at our table as well so it was an enjoyable evening. What a great day!

Car Wash

When I got back from Marquette, my car was awfully salty. So I thought that I would take Brogan through the carwash with me! I loved going through the carwash when I was little and thought he might think it was kinda cool too. And what do you know! He loved it, he was squeeling and giggling and could not take his eyes off the windows! I thought it was so cute!

::Introduction::

Although his life was unplanned Brogan has brought so much joy to ours. We found out we were pregnant May 21st, 2007, and what a shock that was. Looking back on that time now, as i look into his big blue eyes, I don't think we ever could have known what happiness he would bring with his arrival. I worked right up until my water broke at 4:40pm on January 15th. My heart was beating so fast as Buddy met me at my house (after i had to call and pull him out of an interview to let him know it was "TIME", he got the phone call he had wanted! Since I was scheduled to have an induction on the Thursday following and we both really wanted it to happen naturally. We got to the hospital between 6 and 6:30 and i was dilated to 5. After I got the epidural around 8:30 -9 I dilated to 10 within the hour, but was so numb that I could not feel my contractions to push. Poor Brogan was stuck there for another 3 hours with his head just trying to come out! We turned down the epidural, and when I could feel enough to push, it only took 1 hour and our baby boy was delivered into this world by his Daddy and Grandma Wood at 1:51 am on January 16th 2008. Grandma R and Aunt Chelsea and Aunt Brooke were also there to share that special moment and capture it with photographs and video. The rest of the family came in shortly after. What an amazing experience this has been...
