New Pictures!
OK so Brogan is 20 months now.. HOLY COW!! I missed his 18 month pictures so these are it. I wanted to get some really nice ones done outside. He is obsessed with Tractors so I wanted to incorporate that if I could. It just happens that Chad's Grandparents own a tractor, and Chad's mom is an awesome photographer! So it worked out PERFECTLY!! His grandma was nice enough to let us park the tractor out back for the shoot, and Brogan just played away. He was in HEAVEN!! After he played on the tractor we rewarded him with some ice cream... I know I actually gave him sweets... I have already heard it from MULTIPLE people on this one thank you very much! HAHA Here are some of the pictures from the shoot, AND I LOVE THEM!!!! Her website information is at the bottom in case anyone is interested!
Buddy and Brogan
Some of you might been interested in how Buddy and Brogan kept in contact all the time he is away. Its pretty neat, when he was little they would talk on the phone but since last winter they have been talking via webcam. Here's a short video showing how it works. Usually Brogan is a little bit more talkative but you get the idea. And Brogan has never had a problem, even when he was little knowing Buddy.
Auntie Brookes cookout!
Farmville, VA
What better place to go on vacation than FARMVILLE.... no not the facebook application, its a real place! As you all know, Morgann has been down at Charleston Southern University, playing womens soccer! They have been doing really well, and since they had a tournament over Labor Day, we decided to make the trip. This was Brogan's longest trip in a car. It took us about 14 hours in total to get there, but we stopped along the way because he was having trouble falling asleep in the car. We heard... CAR CAR CAR CAR... TRUCK... CAR CAR CAR... TRACTTTTTTTTTTTTTOR... CAR CAR CAR, probably 3/4ths the way down! It was cute... for the first 3 hours LOL no he just couldn't fall asleep because he was seeing so many automobiles! How precious :)
We stoped at a rest stop in OH on the turnpike, and they had a gift shop. Brogan went directly to the postcard section because he found what else... but a tractor post card... of course we bought it. Then he looked at the map with Grandpa and we were back on our way! Ohio is so boring...
Like I said we stopped Thursday night so that Brogan could stretch out as he wasn't used to our long trip yet. So we stopped and then had another 5 hours to go on Friday morning, and Morgann had a game Friday night. When we got to the hotel, Brogan saw Morgann in the lobby, and he hasn't seen her in about a month, so he was confused at first like HEYYY what are you doing here... you weren't in the car with us on the way down here... Check out the video!
I made Brogan this shirt to wear at Morgann's Game! It said CSU and had soccer balls on the front, and on the back it said WOOD and her number (18) and said "Biggest Fan". Here he is looking out at their bus.
Saturday they didn't have a game so the team and the parents that were there went out to dinner to watch CSU play the Florida Gators! They were a cool little sports bar with an outside deck and specialized in sandwiches! It was really good! Brogan was flirting with all the girls on the team. They all loved him!
We were leaving the next morning, and so we decided to take advantage of the warm weather and outside pool down there. It was in the mid 80's all weekend! Perfect end of the summer vacation! He had so much fun in the pool, And we were the only ones in there!
Brogan loves balloons and some lady was leaving the hotel and saw Brogan and gave alll of the balloons she had to him! What a lucky guy
After the game on the way home driving through west virginia, the mountains were GORGEOUS. They were so grand, and the sun was set just behind them making them cast a huge black shadow. It was so pretty. We stopped to take pictures after driving through them!

Brogan's 1st Haircut!
July 27th 2009
OKKK so I let it get out of control and Brogan grew a mullet... GUILTY. Everyone had told me horror stories about how they cut of the curls and they never grew back!! I was in love with his curls, but when they started touching his shoulders when they were wet... I knew it was time! It looks way worse in pictures now that I am looking at them. I was just in denial apparently...

::Introduction::
Although his life was unplanned Brogan has brought so much joy to ours. We found out we were pregnant May 21st, 2007, and what a shock that was. Looking back on that time now, as i look into his big blue eyes, I don't think we ever could have known what happiness he would bring with his arrival. I worked right up until my water broke at 4:40pm on January 15th. My heart was beating so fast as Buddy met me at my house (after i had to call and pull him out of an interview to let him know it was "TIME", he got the phone call he had wanted! Since I was scheduled to have an induction on the Thursday following and we both really wanted it to happen naturally. We got to the hospital between 6 and 6:30 and i was dilated to 5. After I got the epidural around 8:30 -9 I dilated to 10 within the hour, but was so numb that I could not feel my contractions to push. Poor Brogan was stuck there for another 3 hours with his head just trying to come out! We turned down the epidural, and when I could feel enough to push, it only took 1 hour and our baby boy was delivered into this world by his Daddy and Grandma Wood at 1:51 am on January 16th 2008. Grandma R and Aunt Chelsea and Aunt Brooke were also there to share that special moment and capture it with photographs and video. The rest of the family came in shortly after. What an amazing experience this has been...
